"Happiness, all snug, lies fast asleep. As spirits roam the neighbourhoods at night, Let loose upon the Earth till it be light, Laughing revelers, whom death doth keep. O spirits lost, who wail but cannot weep, Wanton worshippers of rage and spite, Each the unknown author of its plight, Equal in the pain you sow and reap, Now come to us from out your vasty deep! & Stuff." Including a visit to the "Catacombs" of Paris- a mass burial site("the city of the dead") situated in abandoned limestone quarries directly beneath our feet. There have been cases of people who went down there & who were never seen again. That's why some of us are smug & take the tourist entrance!
Big thankyou to Joanna & Laurie for those haunting poems. "Annabel Lee" by Edgar Allan Poe (read from memory if you please) & "Heebie-Jeebies" -always nice!
A big "Cornuto" to Shoes on Fire for the song of the same name. Jim is tapping what's left of his feet at the Père Lachaise as we speak. Monkey! the musical. The city of the dead- now a film "Catacombs" (featuring "Pink") at Fearnet.com. The fantastic "Lost Vagueness".
