Alternative Music Podcasts
A weekly music podcast hosted by entertainment personality Douglas Pierce. The show features new music along with in-studio performances by bands, light comedy bits, and interviews. The purpose of the podcast is the shine some light on forgotten elements of popular culture such as tape recording, ragtime, silent movies, and any other once viable artistic form of expression. Initially we'll focus on music in the NYC area, but we are open to covering music from any other geographic area.

The only radio show in Ottawa, Canada's capital, that features a different musician or band performing live on the air and live off the studio floor with no taped delay. The program is also open-line and interactive. ``The format of the show is simple: guests set up their gear (often half in the small studio and half in the hallway!) with a minimal soundcheck and play with host Charles Anthony controlling the fun. ``This is free-style college radio at its best. With a shoe-string budget, the radio station manages to do what no other radio station (nor television station, for that matter!) in Ottawa dares to do.
SMtv is a Podcast Dedicated to True, Independent Artists. Hosted by Samantha Murphy, a singer songwriter herself, SMtv sits down with a different artist each week to discuss their life and art. Each episode comes to you from a different location as Samantha travels from place to place and doesn't really live anywhere. Past episodes have featured Mark Hart of Crowded House and Gregory Page of The Rugburns.
