Joey Svendsen, formerly of BadChristian Podcast, is a pastor who found freedom in gladly embracing mystery and relinquishing his long list of theological “certainties.” Growing up a fundamentalist, evangelical Christian, he now explores faith through progressive lenses while continuing connection with evangelicals, many who are part of the church he pastors at. Join Joey, his regular commentators and many special guests (progressives, traditionalists and evangelicals alike) as they discuss God and the Bible. Hear about Joey's experiences with mental illness. Reflect with us on stories of tragedy. Let's talk God show

Let's talk GodJoin Now to Follow

Passing stories verbally from one generation to the next predates history (for obvious reasons). Story is the greatest teacher mankind has ever known. We learn better from stories than through any other medium, and we learn more than just the intended moral of the story. We learn so much more. Like I have already done in my books, my goal is to use true stories from my life and others’ lives to show GOD'S ACTIVE AND PERSONAL PRESENCE in the lives of today’s Christians so that we all can learn from our combined experiences and grow in faith. I began doing this via the written word in 2009 but it was not till I was "hedged in" (a reference to Job) making writing difficult for me that I thought of telling my stories on camera. Now, I must talk to get my stories out. Would you like to hear a few? New episodes on the 2nd and 16th of the month.
