Whipped is a new band. They have Shannon, vocals and piano. . Eido on, drums, bass, guitar and piano. The band was formed in February 2006. As you can see they are a very young band. Shannon has preformed at some of the coolest clubs in Seattle with her band Amazon Ant. Has released a c.d. "Out of the Hole" available at c.d.baby.com. Shannon is also a visual artist. Has shown in many venues in Washington. Her art work can be seen at www.shanstuff.com. Eido is a M.I. graduate. Taught bass guitar in Japan for 7 years. Took up drumming in 2000. Played in the coolest clubs in Japan, Arizona, and Seattle. Jammed with Stanley Clark, Scott Henderson, and others. Eido is also a visual artist. Has shown internationally. Visit his art work at: www.poodlepublishing.com . Whipped is currently looking for a bass player and guitar player. Eido would like to play drums but if you are a kick ass drummer, he will play bass. Like the way they think about visual art, They like to think of music as self expression and collective expression from the group. Enjoy writing their own songs individually and like to collaborate as a group as well. Rhythm and form is always present. They do not necessarily feel a song has to be verse chorus verse to be considering a song rather they enjoy exploring the experimental avenues of song form. Whipped tries to remember "to just have fun because that’s all that really matters." Ha Ha ha ha ... |

The only radio show in Ottawa, Canada's capital, that features a different musician or band performing live on the air and live off the studio floor with no taped delay. The program is also open-line and interactive.
The format of the show is simple: guests set up their gear (often half in the small studio and half in the hallway!) with a minimal soundcheck and play with host Charles Anthony controlling the fun.
This is free-style college radio at its best. With a shoe-string budget, the radio station manages to do what no other radio station (nor television station, for that matter!) in Ottawa dares to do. |
