Every few generations, people in the United States seem to go through some sort of spiritual revival where they 'see the light' and are determined to change society's basic mores. Such is the case with the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act of 2006 (UIGEA), which has just been passed into law by the US Congress. UIGEA forbids any financial institution from processing any money destined for online casinos. In effect, the US government wishes to limit gambling to the landed casinos (Las Vegas, Atlantic City etc), to horse and dog-racing and to various national lotteries. |

The Revolution has been praised by such Creative Commons scenesters as Matt May(Staccato Music), Victor Stone(Fourstones), Lucas Gonze(WebJay), Mike Linksvayer(Creative Commons), Neeru Parahia(Creative Commons), Jason Evangelho(Insomnia Radio) and John Buckman(Magnatune Records), as well as artists including C Layne, Lisa DeBenedictis, Teru, Ashwan, Autolect, Fourstones, and Curious. My philosophy is simple. I try to put out the best shows I can, support the artists I love and have fun doing it. My love of ephemeral samples from the atomic and radio ages has alos crept deeply into the fabric of the show, a fetish I have to pawn off on my undying love of The Subgenius Hour of Slack and the Rev. Ivan Stang. |
